Whichever television station you rely on for your political news, at least we know that currently you can get a “conservative” version, Fox News, and a “liberal” version, MSNBC. We put those two terms in quotes because it is easily arguable that how both stations report the news is neither conservative or liberal. Regardless of your perspective, at least currently you can check out the other station to see what the “other side” is saying. One thing that both stations have in common is that they are both owned by corporate behemoths.

Too often, and nobody can blame us, we get caught up in the daily game of life and pay little or no attention to events around the World.  These events can sneak up on us though, like 9/11 did, and change our lives forever.  So we have to keep an eye on foreign events, know as much as possible about it so that in case it affects the U.S., we are as prepared as we can be.

You would think that lynchings were a thing of the past, but late February’s murder of Trayvon Martin and the amount of publicity it has generated, has shown you that in fact not only are they still occurring, but they now have received legal cover by the NRA-backed, “Stand Your Ground Law”.  Who wouldn’t support a law with that name, standing your ground is in almost every Chicanos' DNA, but when it is used to pop a little brother for no other reason than because he is black, than it is simply a legal lynching law.

Many people tell me that Obama cannot win because people are hating him right now, not just his policies, but the man. I tried to put my finger on the reason for such hate.
