We wanted to study this after someone stated to us that demand had nothing to do with creating jobs, that instead we have to give rich people more incentives like tax breaks and subsidies with which they will arguably create things and thus create jobs. The problem with that argument is that rich people aren’t dumb and are not going to build large factories with many employees and other costs, if they are not sure that demand for that product already exists.
