Chicano Chamber of Commerce Makes The Case For "Buy Chicano"

Let’s say you’re in the market for a certain product or service, subscribing to “Buy Chicano” means you would look for a Mexican-American who offers what you are looking for at a competitive or better price and if you don’t find the Chicano/a offering what you want, you have just found a business opportunity.  Some people may call it racist, but it’s nothing new, the Italians, Jews, Chinese and many other cultural groups have done it for centuries and not only goods or services, but access to cash as well.

SECRECY BEHIND OFF-SHORE ACCOUNTS

In researching the reason that individuals, trusts and other entities choose to deposit their money in offshore accounts, such as in the Cayman Islands and in Swiss accounts, the overriding element seems to be secrecy.  So much secrecy in fact, that the CIA had to make stronger attempts to monitor these funds, their sources and its flow, because it was suspected that Al Qaeda used offshore accounts,  the same ones used by Mitt Romney as disclosed in his income tax reports, to channel money to its operatives.

MUTINY IN SOUTH CAROLINA: VOTERS REJECT ROMNEY, PREIBUS AND GOP “KING MAKERS”

It’s actually good to see that while money definitely plays a huge part in how an election turns out, that when people feel that they are being pressured to vote a certain way, they generally rebel against that and vote another way.  You could feel the coronation of Mitt Romney was underway since the beginning of the Republican Primary, endorsements from the most high-profile Republicans came fast and furious and it rained money on his campaign and PACs.  GOP favorite son, Chris Christie, in exchange for the “King Makers” promise of a Vice-Presidential nod, became Romney’s fan club presiden

ROMNEY, JOBS AND MONEY

We hold nothing against Romney and the amount of money he is worth, estimated to be around $300,000,000, in fact many Americans, as Romney said it himself, hate on me because they are envious of me.  We would not take it that far either, we know of people that have nothing, but yet smile all day long, while working, eating, playing with the kids and enjoying sex with their loved “one”.  Then we know those that have it all that seem miserable all the time, worrying who’s after what they have and making sure they never lose it.  Of course most of us would welcome the chance to see if we could

OBAMA’S POLICIES CREATE THE NEW AND BEST AMERICA IN HISTORY

When he took office, 750,000 jobs a month were being lost and in the past year over 2 million jobs have been created in the private sector.  200,000 of those just last month.  The trajectory of the jobless rate is down.  These are just the numbers and very hard to argue against, but you will try.  The loudest cries are coming from Banks and other financial firms that you, the taxpayer, lent money to when you bailed them out.  These are the same money men who used to rely on the Federal Government protecting them from lawsuits and claims that the interest they charge or hidden fees they stick you with, were illegal.

POLITICAL DONATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE FAVORS

It was the Reverend Al Sharpton who said it best when he said that we should look at what the Politician does for the donor and not only the fact that he/she received campaign funds from a particular donor with an agenda.  What he was referring to was the fact that someone brought up that indicated that Wall Street Firms and Big Banks were donating heavily to Barack Obama’s campaign, insinuating that the President was perhaps not the “change” agent that regular citizens clamored for after the financial collapse of 2007.  Sharpton argued that while you could not argue with the fact that the

CHICANO CHANNEL MAGAZINE (CCM) ON THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

We have been accused of being completely Democratic, anti-Republican and even reminded that all Chicanos (Mexican-Americans) are not Democrats.  To the last point, we know that already and that is not our fault, just kidding.  We would remind people that currently there is only one race and that is between the Republican Presidential hopefuls wanting to be nominated to run against Barack Obama and the fireworks emanating from that is what we have been writing about for a while.  Honestly, the things we have seen coming out from their debates leaves us wondering how to write about them any o

IOWA VOTES FOR THEIR CHOICE OF REPUBLICAN NOMINEE TUESDAY

For those of us that study politics day in and day out, listen to both Fox News and MSNBC just in case we missed something or something was left off, accidentally or purposely, the Republican Primary thus far has had just about all political lessons or experiences occur during it, which normally do not all occur in the same election cycle.  In the end it appears that the Massachusetts Governor, who began with about twenty-four percent of Republicans behind him and even now polls about the same, is poised to become the Republican nominee, barring a Rick Santorum surge that can survive the Ro

MERCHANTS OF WAR

Make no mistake about it, there are those companies like Halliburton, who has played this game for awhile, and Black-Water, who sprang up during Iraq, who profit huge from war.  Think about Iraq, for example, we come in, nuke the site for morbid, become the victors and to the victors go the spoils.  That Country has to be rebuilt and the budget for rebuilding and security is basically limitless because it is based on the good faith and credit of the United States of America.  There are no bigger construction or security projects on the face of the planet and not even a handful of companies
