CCM PRESENTS: THE LYNCHING OF ERIC HOLDER

When asked what they want to prove that Holder, the U.S. Attorney General, did illegally in the matter of the “Fast and Furious” gun program, the Republicans cannot answer, except to say that the additional documents they are requesting must contain some evidence of wrongdoing, otherwise the Attorney General would not have objected to turning them over. Holder argued that what they were requesting was outside of the purview of their investigation, but added that his main objection was to the deadline that Republicans gave him in which to turn over those documents. When they continued with their attempted lynching, Barack Obama, his brotha from another motha, stepped in and declared the documents protected under “Executive Privilege”, a Presidential right used many times by many Presidents to keep the separation of powers from being usurped, in this case by men in white, hooded robes led by Republican Representative Darryl Issa. The Attorney General is getting pay-back from Republicans for his fighting their racist programs around the Nation, like the Arizona "show me i.d." laws and all the Republican efforts to stifle a true democracy but stifling votes.
Republicans knew the President would come to the aid of his Attorney General before they got the noose around his neck and knew that they could then proclaim, “Aha! The President is involved in this cover-up!” The problem is that they don’t know what is being covered up, even though they are all screaming at the top of their lungs that this is worse than Watergate, which was a crime, and yet the crime here has not been identified. This is a call for a resignation, further investigation and cries of a White House crime, based on the lack of evidence and a flawed program that resulted in the death of an ATF agent. “Fast and Furious” was a Bush-era program designed to track the sales of guns to Mexican drug lords and one of those guns apparently did cause the death of Brian Terry, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent. The crime here is Republicans politicizing a death, one that resulted from a program intended to produce important and positive results, but that like all such programs carries a lot of risk.
