Chicano Channel's 'Chile Dude' Previews 'Casa de Mi Padre'

Chile Dude is on a mission to see as many Genesis Rodriguez movies as possible, new or old, after her show-stealing performance in “Man On A Ledge”.  From her Twitter account, she told Chicano Channel Magazine that on March 16th, “Casa De Mi Padre”, with herself, Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna and other great actors, will be released. 

Chile Dude watched the Trailer of “Casa De Mi Padre” and tried with all his might to judge the entire movie and not just Genesis and as hard as that was, got through it and focused on what appears will be a frikin funny hit flic.  Even in her serious roles and scenes, Genesis has that uncanny ability to add a light touch that takes away the stiffness from certain scenes, making the movie flow better and seem less dramatic.  She does that in three ways: her beauty, acting ability and humor.

In “Casa De Mi Padre” Genesis’ full-on comedic abilities will be unleashed and paired with one of the masters of comedy, Ferrell.  The other actors in this flic have also done well with comedy.  From the Trailer, the cast, the plot and Genesis, Chile Dude is predicting this will get a lot of Chiles.  Not too familiar with the Director, Matt Piedmont, but the movie appears to be in the style of a Robert Rodriguez flic, like “Mariachi” or something like that and the potential is there for Piedmont to hit it out of the park.
